Anyway, you couldn't really do any serious applications with gwbasic. It was followed by qbasic a little later.

I was in time to get to do both. Still have the original GWBASIC manuals!

I just did a little with both. But this was around the same time that Borland released Turbo Pascal and at least in my view it became the serious language to make PC applications with in that era. It was almost instant compilation and it had a very good IDE.

The fake office in a verified business with the intent of approaching them... I am lost for words on how messed up that is to lure people in as part of the key deliverables & company resume.

Unfortunately, sometimes the best answer/decision today becomes a bad decision tomorrow.

Then it clearly wasn't the best decision at the time.

If you are evaluating a system today, and it does everything you could ever need and then some. It cost a nominal amount of money to implement compared to the competition and you go with that solution.

That isn't a bad decision.

In 3 years there could be a way better system that exist and costs even less and offers more. But you needed a system 3 years ago not 3 years in the future.

You picked the best solution for the organization that was available at the time.

"At the time" is the key phrase. A boss could say, "Why didn't you look to the future and only see the present? You wasted my money because you didn't look out far enough" That then makes it a bad decision even though it could have been the best smart logical decision ever.

I'm not saying its right, just that the boss could say it.

I am in agreement that we do our best to make the best decision based on info we have at the time. That still opens the door to a previously best decision becoming a bad decision.

That's just the boss making a different bad decision now 🙂

When I was deciding when if I was going to do Server 2012 or 2016 certifications, I went with 2012, and I'm glad I did because it was still a year from that point that the Server 2016 exams came out, and I was already certified.

Maybe I should have worded it "study for the farthest future that there is a test for" 🙂

It's kinda random.

No, it is not. It never has been. It is only random when you have an editor that cannot read. Which is obviously an issue in and of itself.

There is a big old button there to put one of your choice on there.

That's not the editor that picks that, that's the poster. And that is manually chosen every time, but only from the three choices, need to have someone make a title pic otherwise. Maybe just need to do that.

You are correct that I simply assumed the editor would post it to your channel for you. Seems silly to have to send it back and forth.
